This film script is written in a formal way. It starts by setting the scene which is written in short sentences straight to the point. The dialogue however becomes more informal as its a conversation with between two people however doesn't use much colloquial language yet the mode of address comes across as peer to peer. The house style of the script is written in the Courier 12 font which is a typical house style of all scripts. The script is also centered which is common in script writing.
The scrip has scenes in it showing a layout convention of the typical beginning middle and end. The script also includes stage directions so that the actors and actresses know how to act and what to do with their body language.
The narrative structure of this script is simple linear, it only includes one story and this story develops as the script gets further revealed. We can believe the script is fiction as it has been written for a film and so includes made up scenarios as a form of entertainment. From the film script we can suggest the target audience of this film is most likely 70%male 30% female aged between 25-60 as the genre of the film already seems like an action/mystery as the words 'shot' and 'dead' can be related with this genre.
